Our refurbishment process

How we refurbish: seven stages, every unit.

Every laptop, desktop, server, monitor and networking device we sell goes through the same bench, in the same order. Its asset tag and record follow it from the day it arrives to the day it ships.

  1. 01/ 07

    Sourcing

Most of what we sell had a desk job before.

We buy from companies refreshing their fleets, from lease returns and in bulk lots. Every unit is logged the day it arrives and given an asset tag that follows it through everything that comes next.

    • Corporate refreshes
    • Lease returns
    • Bulk lots
    • Dealer trade-ins
  2. 02/ 07

    Inspection

We look before we plug anything in.

Casing, hinges, screen, keyboard, ports. Every scuff and missing screw goes on the unit’s record, so the grade it gets later is based on what we found — not on a guess.

    • Casing & hinges
    • Display glass
    • Keys & trackpad
    • Ports & slots
  3. 03/ 07

    Hardware testing

Then every part has to prove itself.

Battery, storage, memory, processor and thermals, display, keyboard, wireless and every port — tested one by one, with results logged against the asset tag. Parts that fail are replaced, or the unit doesn’t move on.

    • Storage
    • Memory
    • CPU & thermals

  4. 04/ 07

    Data sanitization

The last owner’s data stays with the last owner.

Every drive is wiped, and the wipe is verified, before a device goes anywhere else. Nothing from a machine’s previous life survives into its next one.

    • Full overwrite
    • Verification pass
    • Logged per device
  5. 05/ 07

    Cleaning

Then it gets a proper clean.

Vents and fans blown out, keyboards and screens cleaned, casing wiped down, old labels off. Small cosmetic fixes where they make sense.

    • Dust-out
    • Deep clean
    • Label removal
    • Touch-ups
  6. 06/ 07

    Grading

    Graded honestly. Priced to match.

Each unit gets a cosmetic grade based on what we recorded at inspection. Functionally, every grade is the same: it works.

    A
Minimal signs of use. Looks close to new.
    B
Light marks or scuffs. Fully working.
    C
Visible wear. Fully working, priced lower.
  7. 07/ 07

    Quality check

One more check, then it ships.

A final pass against the unit’s test record before it’s packed. If anything doesn’t match, it goes back on the bench.

    • Final functional check
    • Record matched
    • Packed for dispatch

How we work

Four things we don’t compromise on.

  1. 01

    Dependable products

Tested part by part and graded against written criteria. What we describe is what arrives.

  2. 02

    Transparent process

Ask what happened to any unit, at any step, and you’ll get a straight answer.

  3. 03

    Sensible pricing

Refurbished should mean real savings. We price by grade and condition, not by guesswork.

  4. 04

    Long-term relationships

Consistent stock, consistent grading, the same people on the phone. We’d rather be your supplier for years than your vendor for a week.
